It's the kind of like the first poster of the series, and is done in color to catch readers' attention and set up the mood of the rest of the series.

It's meant to set up the premise for the series Meir Katz, which is about a Jewish Cowboy who tries to win the title of Best of the West. The rest of the series will be mostly in black and white for time reasons, so this first page is a way to garner interest in the series for first time readers.
